A Creative Thinking Skills Holiday Workshop


Ever wonder how an advertisement goes from just an idea in your head, to a famous clip watched all around the world?

In this fun and interactive 5-day workshop, students will use creative skills to make a video advertisement. Group brainstorming and advertising ideas are put together in the planning room. Students then get involved in production, each having a chance to hold different roles at acting and directing. Finally in post production, putting all scenes and effects together to create a memorable advertisement.

In this workshop, students will:

  • Learn what makes a good TV advertisement – a good storyline, the emotional touch and a strong, snappy headline
  • Learn how to organise creative thoughts – from storyboard to screen
  • Learn how to intrigue the audience, using humour and a play on words to bring the advertisement to life
  • Work on public speaking skills in character
  • Be encouraged to come out of their shell and build confidence, both in front of the camera as an actor and behind the scenes as a cameraman, director and writer
  • Learn how to grab the attention of the audience with a captivating storyline
