Be A Filmmaker – A Secret Agent Edition

The Mystery of the Missing…(dun dun dun)!

There is a mystery to be solved! Special Agent D.J., world-renowned detective is on the case. We need your help to solve the crime.

In this 5-day workshop, students will use their own story writing and visual creativity skills to create a short original film. They will get involved in creating a plot and apply decisive problem solving skills to create a story and contribute their creative ideas to the script.

Students will then be acting in and directing the production.  Finally in post production, students will compile the scenes, adding special effects to create a mystery movie of their own.

In this workshop our students will:

• Take on multiple roles
• Be working on the storyline, focusing on sequence, flow and emotions – elements that make a good film
• Learn how to get into character, working on presentation skills and building confidence in delivery as a character
• Work on public speaking skills – building confidence both behind the scenes (as cameraman or director) and in front of the camera
• Learn how music and special effects can help piece a story together as well as add a touching and emotional aspect to any story
• Try a hand at acting, directing, filming and editing to produce an original film!
