Levels P3 / P4 in 2021

Head Start for Math and Science

Help your child prepare for the ‘jump’ in P3 and P4 and be ahead of the curve in 2021. This workshop will equip them to take on the next level with confidence!

Students are grouped in their respective levels.

Levels P5 / P6 in 2021

Head Start for PSLE in Math and Science

Get a head start with our Math and Science workshop for P5 and P6 students in 2021. Get your child ready during this school holiday break by attending the 4 lessons in this workshop series. Each subject is conducted once a week. Our aim is to walk with P5s to bridge the gap from P4 and inspire them to take on P5 with confidence. As for P6 students, the momentum of learning continues with new topics to be learned in P6. We aim to build their confidence in Math and Science and give them a head start in 2021.

MATH

• Introducing new topics for the next level
• Reinforcing mathematical concepts and skills
• Learning how not to be misled by mathematical vocabulary
• Learning about the relation between the question and mathematical method to solve problem sums

SCIENCE

• Introducing new topics for the next level
• Learning the use of accurate scientific terms for complete answers
• How to use mind maps to reinforce learning
• Learning the use of accurate scientific terms for complete answers

Level Sec 1 in 2021

Appetizer for Secondary 1 – English / Math / Science

These workshops will give students an insight to subjects taught in Secondary 1. The objective is to bridge the gap between P6 and Secondary 1 with an overview of what is expected in the year ahead. Students will have an advantage after attending these appetizer workshop series. Our aim is to inspire and get them ready for the challenge ahead.

ENGLISH

• Introduction to the different sections of a Secondary 1 English paper, such as summary and editing
• Understanding how P6 English (Eg. PSLE Grammar Rules) ties in to Secondary 1 English
• An introduction to methods needed to tackle each section of the Secondary 1 English paper
• An introduction to the different types of essays in Secondary 1 composition writing. (Eg. Discursive essay, Argumentative essay and Narrative essay)

MATH

• Introduction to new topics for Math in Sec 1
• Learning key concepts of Math at how to use Secondary 1 methods to solve questions
• Introduction to Algebraic properties and equations
• Mental stamina when faced with difficult Math questions and having confidence it can be solved

SCIENCE

• Introduction to new topics for Sec 1
• Understanding that Science is a study of our natural world
• Using Science approach to analyse physical and chemical properties
• Refining skills learnt in P6 for Sec 1
• Building confidence when faced with inferring questions
