Our qualified team of teachers have graduated from Institutions such as Trinity Guildhall School of Music and Drama, LASALLE School of the Arts, Singapore Institute of Management, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and James Cook University. They are also trained in Child PsychologySpecial Needs and Learning Disorders in children.

Margaret LoveKids

Programme Director

Margaret embarked on her passion for teaching in 1995. She graduated from Kinderland Singapore with certification in Speech and Educational Drama. Wanting to achieve more, she advanced her training in English Literature, Theatre Studies, Drama and Acting. She graduated with honours from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.

During her 20 years of teaching, Margaret has taught Speech and Drama, imparted her knowledge in English Literature and the English Language.

Margaret believes that every child, no matter what learning disorders they may have, can and will learn when inspired. Her mission is to watch the children grow in confidence and be proud of who they are and what they can achieve.

She has pursued an Advanced Diploma in Special Education and Child Psychology.

Margaret’s role as an educator is to mentor students in coping with their challenges in school and walking with parents in their child’s academic journey and social development.

Director

Fred handles administration and marketing at LoveKids. After being in the financial industry for 15 years, he decided to pursue a new calling. He became part of the LoveKids Team.

A true believer that one should never stop learning and always continue to pursue your heart’s desire. Being a part of the team has allowed him to develop his talents which would have never been possible if he had not made that move. Working with children and watching them bloom is now his mission. More importantly, he has discovered how kids bring priceless joy.

Being a father of three grown children and having gone through many challenges, Fred would like to share this quote from Neil C. Strait, “The best gift a father can give to his child is the gift of himself.”

Fred has been directly involved in building and shaping LoveKids and LK Academy. He works with the team to develop new courses and direction for the company. Always on the lookout for what is needed and what is relevant for our students in their academic journey keeping up with today’s modern world.

Rachael LoveKids

Rachael graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with a Diploma in Higher Education in Theatre and Performance Studies.

She also holds a diploma in Mass Communication from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Speech and Drama certification from Trinity Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and a Diploma in Learning Disorders Management and Child Psychology from College of Allied Educators.

Rachael has had the experience of teaching and guiding children for over ten years. Her love for children and teaching has led her to choose teaching as a career. She writes the English curriculum for LoveKids students, using the power of the written word, together with her teaching style, to guide students towards SA2 and PSLE.

Rachael recently released an assessment book series, Ace Your Vocabulary, for P1 – P6. The books are sold in Popular Bookstore and in Primary School bookshops.

At Lasalle, Rachael gained the knowledge and experience of writing plays as well as directing them. Her work in journalism, while working for a magazine firm, has been published in inflight magazines as well as Time Out Singapore.

Rachael strongly believes in the power of confidence to help children grow, from preschool to primary school, then secondary school. She also believes each child has a unique learning style and great potential.

Kimberly LoveKids

Educator

Kimberly is a graduate from Lasalle College of the Arts and College of Allied Educators. She has a diploma in Fashion Communication and a diploma in Learning Disorders in Children and Child Psychology. She is also a certified Speech and Drama instructor with certification from Trinity College London.

Kimberly has been an educator for 7 years, teaching English, Math and Science to Primary 1 to Primary 6 pupils. She has a strong love and passion for teaching students and mentoring them through their primary school life. Although she started with a Diploma in Fashion Communication, her desire to teach always burned in her. She followed that desire and has not stopped since.

Kimberly believes in the importance of building a connection with her students. This connection empowers her students to trust in her and ultimately aid them in being their most confident self. Her methodology in the classroom is to be creative in her teaching methods to suit each student’s way of learning. Her love for teaching continues to grow each day.

LoveKids Melva

Melva is a graduate of Lasalle College of the Art’s Bachelors (Hons) Degree in Acting programme. Armed with a Diploma in Performance from Lasalle as well, Melva has been a freelance actor in Singapore, acting in TV to performing plays for young audiences. Through performing for young children, Melva found a calling in working with children and eventually becoming an educator.

Born in Singapore, Melva spent many years of her childhood abroad, growing up in the United States and Australia. Although she was moving around a lot, there was one thing constant in her life, which was her love for the performing arts. She has always enjoyed performing be it in plays, musicals or choir recitals. Melva now aspires to share her passion of drama through incorporating drama education into her teaching style. As a highly passionate teacher, she is determined to develop the confidence of the youth of Singapore with a holistic and drama-based approach to child development.

As she develops as an educator, she is focused on developing deep connections with each student, paying close attention to developing their confidence and each of their unique strengths. Melva believes that we as people can also learn a lot from children.

Sharon LoveKids

Sharon is a graduate of the Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Politics and Marketing. She graduated with an Advanced Certificate in Teaching Speech and Drama from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

With a passion for educating children, she believes that every child has the ability to be an effective communicator and hopes to equip them with the essential skills during their early stages of learning.

In a digital world filled with devices, she firmly feels that it is even more vital now to connect and relate well to one another. It is through drama that children can better understand their feelings, articulate ideas, and develop empathy for others.

Sharon hopes to contribute through her experiences, livening up lessons in interesting and fascinating ways. It gives her a sense of fulfilment being able to watch a child progress from being reserved to a confident and expressive student. She believes that the potential every child has is ready to be developed to its full capacity!

Jill Angelia LoveKids

Angelia Seetoh, known to everyone as Jill, graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Communication Degree, majoring in Journalism. She has always been passionate about educating children and believes that even the shyest child can find their expressive and creative voice, if lovingly and patiently encouraged.

With her background in journalism and communications, and having lived in Finland for a number of years, Jill draws on her prior experience to liven up the classroom. Her lessons are active, interactive and fantastical as she aspires to awaken the imaginations of the children. She also hopes to equip children with strong presentation and communication skills that help them gain more confidence. She sees great importance in nurturing children’s EQ, especially in empathy and change tolerance. This, she believes, will help blossom their social life.

Jill is pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Teaching Speech and Drama from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. This powerful quote by Tim Fargo truly resonates with Jill.

Andrea LoveKids

Andrea is a graduate of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in English Drama. Originally from the Philippines, she was enrolled into drama classes at a very young age to encourage her to open up in a new environment and be more expressive. Having studied in Singapore for primary and secondary school, Andrea’s thoughts of mainstream education was indeed a challenge. However, she had embraced it with confidence and hard work.

She hopes to impart her experience and knowledge for her students to think critically for themselves and cater to their individual needs and abilities. Hence, she places emphasis on making lessons not only more engaging but also inclusive and open. She believes each individual child learns differently and that as a teacher, it is her goal to ensure that their needs are met. She understands the value that Speech and Drama has in helping children become confident, sociable and empathetic not just on stage but in everyday life.

She has performed in theatre productions locally and overseas in theatre festivals, and has been a show host at Universal Studios Singapore . As a teacher, she has taught Primary school and Preschool children in enrichment programmes for Public Speaking and Speech and Drama. She uses her experience as an actor and host to teach children to be strong, expressive and confident speakers.

Her goal is to create a safe, fun and inviting space for students to express themselves freely. She encourages children to think big and challenge themselves creatively. She also understands the value in guiding students to be concise and intelligent when it comes to communicating their thoughts.

A quote by George Bernard Shaw that she keeps close to her heart when teaching is “Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.”

Alyssa LoveKids

Alyssa graduated with a diploma in Mass Communication and majors in English Literature at NTU. Her passion for Communication and language are evident from her areas of study. Having enjoyed Speech and Drama classes at a young age, she understands the benefits of character building and opportunities it gives to be exposed to situations and real life experiences, one might never have considered possible, all done in a safe space in class.

Alyssa believes in the power of the imagination and its importance for critical thinking and empathy. Hence, her lessons encapsulates a world of wonder, encouraging kids to constantly be inquisitive through thoughtful conversations, while having fun. This, she believes, empowers kids with confidence in their thoughts and actions. Her mission and goal is for each child to emerge more vocal and conscientious of their social environment and be in tune with their own emotional landscape.

Kyra has graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Diploma in Performance (Distinction). She attained an A1 in the English language for her GCE O Levels, and has continually maintained a good command of English and Literature following her studies in LASALLE.

Kyra values the time she spends with children. She believes in nurture over nature, and she aims to always nurture and bring out the best in the children she teaches.

Kyra aims to provide a safe space for children to learn English, and to make it fun and enjoyable for them. Having had the opportunity to interact with different kids in her time of teaching, she understands the needs of each child and aids them to reach their own individual potential.

Kyra dedicates time to teach children drama and musical theatre. The vivacity and humanity she finds from theatre is something she is largely passionate about, believing that one’s soul can be thoroughly enriched from watching/being in theatre. She enjoys incorporating elements of play and freedom from theatre into her teaching.

With the demands of school assessments and exams, Kyra uses her experiences and empathy, teaching and empowering students to embrace their journey in school, with confidence!

Gavia is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts BA (Hons) in LaSalle, Acting (Theatre). What began as a mere interest has since evolved into Gavia’s unwavering passion. Ever since then, Gavia embarked on her journey to pursue her passion.

Theatre was also where she found that she enjoyed being around people as the infectious enthusiasm from people empowers her. Even amidst the rigours of academic pursuit, Gavia is determined to elevate herself and the budding generations.

As a teacher, she dedicates herself to equip the children of the future with essential skills such as critical thinking, confidence in speech and effective communication. She believes in the importance of both IQ & EQ in the classroom.

In essence, Gavia’s teaching journey is an ongoing process of excellence. This excellence is marked by a profound passion and an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of her students.

In her classroom, she believes in the importance of having fun while learning and incorporating important elements to build confidence and motivation in each student. She sees the importance in supporting her students to excel not only in their academic journey but in their soft skills as well.

Felicia graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Communication Studies, where she recognized the power of communication and its impact on personal growth. In her earlier career as a Recruitment Consultant, she saw firsthand how gaps in verbal and emotional intelligence skills could limit opportunities, inspiring her to help young people build these foundational abilities from an early age.

Felicia teaches Speech and Drama classes in preschools, as well as Public Speaking classes in centres. She focuses on developing foundational communication skills such as clear articulation, storytelling and effective verbal expression. Through interactive activities, role-playing, and teamwork, Felicia helps young learners build confidence in speaking and fosters a love for imaginative play. Her approach emphasises the importance of non-verbal communication, encouraging children to use their body language and facial expressions to enhance their storytelling abilities.

As a dance teacher as well, Felicia has also worked closely with students of all ages, using movement and rhythm to develop their coordination and listening skills. This additional layer of expressive training enriches her students’ ability to communicate confidently, using both words and body language.

Being an educator with the LoveKids team, Felicia is committed to helping her students find their voice. She aims to create a lively, supportive environment where students feel comfortable to explore their creative potential and express their ideas freely. With an engaging teaching style, Felicia strives to equip each student with the tools to become a clear and assured communicator.

Amelia is a ball of energy that brightens up the room with her infectious smile! Having graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with BA (Hons), She is also armed with Diploma in Theatre (English Drama) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

Being in theatre education, it has grown and shaped her into who she is today, in hopes that she can be a part of that same growth journey for other children in their formative years. Amelia strongly believes that the arts can deeply enhance children of all ages and looks forward to sharing her theatre knowledge with excitable little ones!

As a speech and drama educator, she thrives on engaging with young learners, sparking their imaginations, and helping them find their voices. Amelia is committed to fostering a sense of confidence in her students, encouraging them to take bold steps and trust their instincts. For Amelia, teaching speech and drama is not just about performance—it’s about equipping children with the tools they need to shine brightly in their formative years and beyond.

Jessica graduated with a diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education, and has been working with young children for the past 8 years. She has always been passionate about teaching and started her journey with working as a teaching au pair abroad. She has also interned in Mediacorp as a scriptwriter and producer for OktoLive, a children’s programme.

Jessica believes that two of the biggest assets children possess is their imagination and creativity; both of which can be nurtured, which is why she always encourages open-ended play and discussions in her classroom.

Jessica strives to inculcate EQ skills in every child, especially the elements of empathy and self-awareness. It is through self-awareness that our kids learn to embrace and enjoy learning, thereby building self-confidence to always believe in themselves!

Being a firm believer of empathy as the core of education, Hanan strives to craft a learning environment that is child-centric and compassionate. She is currently pursuing her degree in English Literature at NTU and is also equipped with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Armed with years of experience teaching young learners and a love for the written word and all things dramatic, Hanan utilises the power of language and drama in instilling confidence and essential EQ skills in her students. Creativity, imagination and curiosity are always at the forefront of her lessons.

At the very core of her teaching philosophy, she fosters an environment where understanding the little ones is at the heart of her classroom. She recognises the fact that every child brings a unique perspective, shaped by their individual experiences and inner world.

Tajiyah Sulwana is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in working with young children and students. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Performance Making from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, validated by the University of the Arts London, where she graduated with First Class Honours. She is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Voice Studies: Teaching and Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

Tajiyah is a lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where she teaches both diploma and degree programmes. Her teaching experience spans across Speech and Drama in London, working with preschool and primary-age students, as well as English in MOE primary schools in Singapore.

Her expertise lies in voicework as a creative tool for devising and performance, with a focus on the intersection of voice, movement, speech, drama, and public speaking. As a recipient of the LBKM Prestigious Postgraduate Scholarship and the Margetta Bundy Education Award, she is committed to professional development and lifelong learning.

Tajiyah’s teaching methods emphasize building confidence and emotional intelligence through voice, speech, drama and academics. She creates a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and express themselves freely. By integrating adaptive methodologies, she caters to diverse learning styles, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and effective communication skills. Her approach helps students develop not only their vocal and performance abilities but also the confidence to articulate ideas, engage with others, and navigate real-world challenges.
