As parents, it is common and absolutely normal to feel concerned about our children meeting developmental milestones, especially when it comes to communication and speech.

With Speech and Drama at the core of our value added programme, our specialised Speech and Drama Programme for toddlers, playgroup and N1 children is developed specially for our precious young ones to develop good speech and communication skills as well as grow in self-confidence.

Our programme also focuses on developing EQ Skills such as Empathy, Social Skills and Presentation Skills and incorporates fine and gross motor activities to aid in overall holistic development.

Accurate speech is developed through speech and drama activities incorporated into our programme. Toddlers, PG and N1 children will also expand their vocabulary as they are exposed to various themes our exciting and enriching curriculum consists of.

Speech exercises are a huge focus in our Specialised Speech and Drama Programme. These exercises help our toddlers, playgroup and N1 children strengthen speech helpers and learn accurate phonetic sounds as they learn to speak clearly and confidently.

Self-Expression

Self-Expression is developed in our toddlers, playgroup and N1 children through our drama and hands-on activities. A strong sense of self-expression encourages our little ones to understand themselves and the world around them better, which in turn allows them to express themselves positively.

Self-Awareness

A very important milestone, helping toddlers, playgroup and N1 children build a sense of self-awareness is an important part of our programme. Through the power of Speech and Drama, our children will learn all about understanding and expressing their emotions, whether negative or positive. They will also learn self-referential language like ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘you’.

Decision-Making Skills

An important EQ Skill that can be taught even to young children, this skill can be furnished in the classroom in a fun way! Furthermore, when a scenario is introduced at Drama Time, children will have to plan and execute their speech and actions as they work on decision-making. This would require them to further develop speech and understand and carry out two step instructions.

Social Skills

Social Skills are built through our classroom interactions and Educational Drama activities. At Drama Time, our toddlers, playgroup and N1 children will experience fun, disguised learning where they would have to derive socially acceptable solutions which help mirror real life, allowing them to safely explore the full spectrum of the human experience. The stigma from daunting life challenges can be reduced through these Speech and Drama activities, increasing our toddlers’ Stress Tolerance, Flexibility and Empathy, other good EQ Skills to acquire.

This important EQ Skill can be introduced to our toddlers, playgroup and N1 children as they start interacting with each other, instead of just playing side by side. Learning to work as a team will also help our little ones learn other important skills such as Patience and Compromise.

A very complex skill to fully develop – that is why it is important to teach our toddlers, playgroup and N1 children about empathy when they are young!
